At Vermont Handcrafted, we want your shopping experience to be simple, flexible, and stress-free. Please review our guidelines below regarding purchase options, order changes, and cancellations.
1. Payment Methods
We accept:

Shop Pay

Shopify Installments (when available)

Gift cards purchased through Vermont Handcrafted
All payments are processed securely through Shopify’s encrypted checkout system.
2. Order Processing
Orders begin processing immediately once placed.
Because many items are small-batch, made-to-order, or picked from artisan partners, we often start fulfillment within hours.
3. Order Changes
If you need to update your order—such as changing an address, adjusting a quantity, or swapping an item—please contact us right away:
We will do our best to accommodate changes if the order has not yet shipped.
Once a shipping label has been created, we are unable to modify the order.
4. Cancellation Policy
You may request an order cancellation within 2 hours of placing your order.

Cancellation may NOT be possible if:

The order has already shipped
-
The shipping label has been created
-
The order is already being packed or prepared
-
The item is a special-order or made-to-order product
-
The item is a personalized or custom item
In these cases, you may still be able to return eligible items under our Return Policy.
5. Preorders & Special Orders
For preorder items, handcrafted releases, or artisan-made pieces:

Cancellation requests must be made within 24 hours of purchase.

After 24 hours, preorder items are considered committed and cannot be canceled as we are already holding or reserving stock for you.
6. Subscription or Repeat Purchase Options
(If you enable recurring deliveries in the future; if not, skip this section. Let me know if you want a “No subscriptions offered at this time” version.)
For recurring purchase options (coming soon):

You may pause, skip, or cancel a subscription anytime before the next billing cycle.

Subscription cancellations made after a charge has been processed will apply to the next delivery cycle.
7. Failed or Declined Payments
If a payment fails or is declined:

The order will not be fulfilled

You may attempt the purchase again with a valid payment method
We do not hold inventory for unpaid orders.
8. Fraud Prevention
Orders flagged for potential fraud may be:

Automatically canceled, or
-
Delayed pending verification
This is to protect both our customers and our business.
